Who Will Cry When You Die? (Review)

Who Will Cry When You Die By Robin Sharma Review Rating Summary

We all want to leave a legacy when we die. We all want people to remember us forever. Robin Sharma talks of life’s concept remarkably without losing its very essence in this book. He has offered tips to help you overcome life’s difficulties and develop your personality and skills. Personally, I have learned a lot from this book; there is a phase in everyone’s life when we are at our lowest, and we believe it’s the end of the world. This book has helped me a great deal to approach similar situations with a much more positive outlook.

This book presents a case study wherein two senior citizens are hospitalized in the same room and become good friends. One of the patients’ beds was near the window, and he was always telling the others about the outside world, like birds chirping, car horns, etc. Over time, the other patient became jealous because of his inability to see the outside world. One night, the person at the window needed help, and the other patient refused to oblige. The following day, the doctors declared the person dead.

The other person immediately asked the nurses to put his bed near the window. Additionally, he was surprised to find that there was only one brick wall, not any window. His friend used to use his imagination to make him happy. This story teaches us a great lesson about how having a positive outlook on a given situation can make us and the people around us happy. It may not bring us success, but it will definitely help us overcome our failures.

“I wept because I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet.” โ€“ Robin Sharma.

This quote from the book has shaped my life to a large extent. Everyone fights a war within themselves. However, it’s not the war that defines us but how we fight it. Every battle we tackle teaches us a certain lesson, and the more we fight, the more we grow. Ultimately, it’s not about choosing an easy path and winning but choosing the right path and learning. The right path may lead to some form of failure initially, but learning from that failure will make you great. This is still better than not trying and staying within our comfort zone.

This book teaches you how to make other people smile. We are also caught up in our different problems and struggle to find reasons to smile. If you can put a smile on even a single person’s face with your efforts, your day is worthwhile. In this rat race of life, we โ€‹โ€‹forget to take care of the most important person in our life, who is us. This book will surely inspire you to love your life and love yourself. The first step towards this journey is being honest with yourself. Accept your mistakes and learn from them.

When you say something to someone (including yourself), mean it. Try to keep your promises, and that’s the only way you will start loving yourself. Some people die tragic, but often, the greater tragedy is the life that the people live. This book will help you turn this tragedy into joy. “Who Will Cry When You Die?” helps you live your life to the fullest. This book certainly shares some note-worthy tips on creating a legacy by becoming the best version of yourself. You can get the book here! ๐Ÿ“–
